1. Executive Summary - Today’s consumer often dreads the burden of having to purchase a new vehicle. The customer has to wander a sales lot in hopes of finding a suitable vehicle that is affordable and reliable. Once that selection is made, the customer then has to haggle with the sales person to obtain a price that fits within the customer's budget constraints. All of this occurring and then the customer must wait on a decision from the bank to approve the sales transaction.

Today’s technology can be used in a manner that would make the purchase of a new automobile a smooth transition for both the customer and the sales person. Cloud networks and wifi integration can provide the customer with the ability to see information about a car lot or potential competitors right from the convenience of a tablet. Customers will no longer have to travel from sales lot to sales lot in search of the best deal.

Fairyland Auto Sales is intending to utilize the accessibility of cloud networking in a way that the sales force can manage a sales deal right on the lot and provide real time data to the customer. Integrating wifi throughout the entire lot will enable salespeople to interact with the finance department without having to leave the customers side.

2. Business Objectives - Fairland Auto aims to give our customer a “Best in-class” virtual reality experience shopping experience. We will employ a real time “Production-to-Showroom Tracking System”. The PSTS will deliver minute by minute update notification via Email or phone App. Our customers will be able to track their future vehicle’s location via the GPS coordinates. Each vehicle is equipped with a GPS system, once the frame is assembled in our production factories. This is when the car goes live. The consumer who’s waitlist criteria has been met, is instantly notified via Text, Email, or Phone app. Having the capability to reserve the car for a best fit and best match. Realistic action would be the needs and the overall cost affordability. Thus creating a faster response to customer needs over wants.

3. Background - Fairyland Auto Sales is an auto dealership that is embracing the newest technology in selling vehicles. The current business practice is for the salesperson to only show what is available on the lot at the time. The business need is to make available Wifi enabled tablets for the customer as well as the salesperson to use to expand our sales. Creating a more custom experience for the consumer.

4. Scope - The Scope will be user friendly section that will create specification boundaries to find that perfect car or truck for the consumer around what work is and is not part of the scope of the project being discussed.

5. Features - The consumer will be able to bargain and compare on the auto sales lot. This will gain more trust and loyalty to our business. Showing our business to have better pricing and quality vehicles. The consumer will be able to visualize the specific car they want to purchase by using our application on the wifi tablets. The negotiating the vehicle price is quicker with the salesperson using the tablet to work with the supervisor on the best price for both the business and the customer.

6. Functional requirements - Tablets will have direct wifi connections to the Fairyland Auto Sales cloud network. Within the network, all tablets will be connecting with instant messaging capabilities for direct connections to the financing department and management from any location on the auto lot. Each salesperson will be provided with an individual account login that can be used to access all computer terminals and tablets for use on the sales floor and customer interactions. To support full wifi coverage of the lot the main building and offices will access the network through the router. Wifi signal boosters will be installed in specified locations throughout the lot to ensure thorough coverage.

7. Personnel requirements - Personnel requirement for new users will be a simple login processes. This will allow a data base for repeat customers and may assist in a future purchase. Having a Historical data for a client will allow possible marketing trends.

8. Reporting and quality assurance - The company will facilitate a family like work environment where team members at the smallest level are required to attend a morning meeting that last no less than 10 minutes to discuss experiences and learning lessons from the day prior. Keeping the meeting short and open to free exchange of thoughts is key to self policing and self reporting. The daily meetings will also give management the agility needed to keep up with the company’s real time data. This will keep the company one step ahead of the trends. We can then compensate for any negative outlooks. Quality control will be a topic that managers must bring up at every meeting. Random company inspectors that will go as consumers in disguise to analyze and report back their findings to management.

9. Delivery schedule - Gantt chart visually demonstrates all timeline events.

10. Other requirements - Our current IT structure will need to be upgraded in order to support the newer technology and internet band width. We will need to upgrade our computers, printers and include wifi tablets. Virus software and the latest operating software will need to be installed as well as Business software called “Dealer Center”

11. Assumptions - The current system is Inefficient and not allowing Full real time inventory access. Upon completion there should be instant access to whatever is on the lot by a simple check box for each item. With the current layout we have proposed the additional bandwidth, and update wireless hardware we should see no delays in access.

12. Limitations -The beta testing portion of the tablets and software will be approximately three months, surveying a group of ten consumers. Personnel will have to be trained on the new technology and procedures. A working layout of the best positions for the Wifi access points, budget will be monitored closely.

13. Risks - Potential risks with this project are delays in the cable network installation. Installation times will be dependent on the availability of Verizon Installation Services. Beta testing of the app will be based on user feedback and troubleshooting observed problems.
