Ethics should be the cornerstone of all companies, but it is surprising to see that this company is involved in a lawsuit with its former employee on charges of racketeering, defamation, inflicting emotional distress, and wrongful termination. Instead of owning up to the breach in ethics we learn that the company openly denies and attempts to shift blame to scapegoats. This, in my opinion, reflects a lack of effective leadership and management at the enterprise.
Response to Student two
In my view, racial discrimination is not only an ethical violation it is also a human rights violation. It is wrong for any company to treat or judge its employees based on the color of their skin. I sympathize with student two who was always treated unfairly and eventually fired based on her complexion. I believe that student two should have taken action to ensure such action never happens again at the company by suing it. In my opinion, it is a shame for humanity to be struggling with racism in this day and age.
I believe that companies should be in the forefront to fight racism by portraying a holistic and integrative workforce. This company thus shows it has poor management.
