Based on the feedback you have received on your introduction paragraph, begin writing a 3–4 page rough draft of the body paragraphs of your research paper, which should have a clear focus, problems and solutions, and reliable/scholarly sources as support. You should currently have a good supply of research notes to bring into each of your arguments. Be sure your rough draft includes the following:

· An introduction that has been revised based on prior feedback

· Body paragraphs organized around focused analysis and supporting evidence for each of the key points that you are researching

· In-text citations and a reference page to document sources being used

3-4 Pages. Previous Introduction for assignment in red below.

Introduction

Modification of the crime statistics has been my area of interest, and this is due to the factors that have resulted due to dark figures, more so this has raised various questions, which have not yet been answered. Out of this, it is, therefore, important to consider other aspects, which may result in accuracy, transparency, and accountability. It is through conducting research that the most efficient modifications will be realized and therefore they will help in achieving the expected results. It has been very deceiving since the information that the public receive is not valid and hence the need for the research.

Instructor Feedback: PLEASE PERSONALIZE THE RUNNING HEAD AND TITLE PAGE.  ALSO, PLEASE FORMAT THE INTRODUCTION HEADING AS "THESIS STATEMENT"--- AND INTRODUCTION WILL BE A SEPARATE PARAGRAPH THAT WILL PREVIEW YOUR ENTIRE REPORT.

Hypothesis

When it is inaccurate, data the correctional facilities suffer a lot since they have to bear the burden of overcrowding. All this is attributed to the statistics, which has been submitted to the state and therefore this has rendered the country not to be in a position to compare itself with other countries. Various assessment methods can be modified in such a manner that they can meet the needs of the correctional officers this is by increasing them. Another need that can be met is the concept of a priority this will control the problems that are arising. The is especially in places where contagious diseases are affecting the inmates.

Measurement and analysis approach

Some of the key points to consider is the evaluation of the methodological approach used. The evaluation will be able to bring out some of the problems faced and therefore processing the modification will have an impact. Another aspect is the concept areas, which require training such that the personnel involved is fully aware of the required duties and responsibilities. Gathering information will be from the relevant sources, which are credible such as online websites that are approved by the government. The methods used may be valid but due to the challenges faced, then inaccuracy steps in.

The area of crime statistics has received various critics and therefore due to this information received may not be relevant. In addition, this could be due to other problems such as corruption; thus the modification will be able to ensure that the figures that are received are more accurate as compared to the previous years. Out of the modification, some challenges may result and hence this will be part of the research. The modification is not a perfect method and therefore this means that the challenges, which will be associated with it the modifications.

Applicable resources

Modernizing crime statistics, by Lauritsen and Cork

Crime and its modification : a social learning perspective, by Nietzel

Effects of NIBRS on Crime Statistics by Rantala

Fundamentals of research in criminology and criminal justice by Bachman and Schutt

The above sources comply with the various methods of modification and the manner in which the correctional facilities will be affected. They also offer a national magnitude that is relevant and appealing to the modification of crime statistics as well as the effects associated with them.

Ethical standards

Some of my responsibility is to ensure that I exercise integrity by ensuring that a thorough research is performed and more following the accepted code of conduct. This means that there will be no cheating involved and that it will be an original plan which will assess the problem from various dimensions. The attitude to which the plan will be approached will be a positive one so as to ensure that I deliver quality and efficient work.

In conclusion, I believe that I shall come up with an appealing plan through the applicable sources and ensure that there is a difference in crime statistics. For this to be achieved the analysis approach will be based on the information obtained from the previous years and hence it will make a difference. The overall aim is to impact change such as reduce the crowding effect in various facilities.
