Description: In the discussion for this week, you identified both a curriculum issue and an instructional strategy or system support solution you would like to explore during this course. Choose either the curriculum issue or the instructional strategy or system support system and explore peer-reviewed professional articles on the topic. Choose two of them to analyze for this assignment (keeping the rest for a possible inclusion in either your annotated bibliography of a curriculum issue or to reference in your final benchmark project culminating the conclusion of this course. The articles chosen for the critique should be within the past 5 years. You will have a title page and then a brief statement of the issue you are investigating (similar to the posting in the discussion question. Then you will present the abstract you have prepared for each article. In this you will include: a. Cite reference correctly in APA 6 format. DO NOT take the word of EbscoHost for the citation. b. identify how you determined it was a peer-reviewed and scholarly article (ie. Ulrichsweb Global Series Directory, or preface of journal). c. Determine in one or two sentences the main thesis (controlling idea) or concern of the text. Be accurate to avoid sweeping generalities. d. Explain the context for this writer's argument: Does the writer seem to be adopting a particular political, philosophical, theoretical perspective? Is the writer responding to some particular cultural debate? Consider the forum in which this work was published. e. Summarize main points f. Postulate how this will help your project g. Length can be between 150 to 250 words for each abstract. For the conclusion, justify why this research is relevant to the issue you identified. Make sure you check the rubric before submitting the assignment.
