The following paper will present the introduction to the project, presenting the basis sections which will be covered in the project, and the main points which will make the bigger outline of the paper. Nowadays, many people don’t die of sickness unlike some years ago. This is because of the technological advancement in the Medical Industry. The introduction of new machines for testing different diseases has been invented and hence, a disease can be treated accurately and more easily.

The topic that I have selected to discuss for the following paper is about technological advancements, and more specifically, about how the technological advancements can be applied to a laboratory setting. Combining the two concepts of a laboratory and technology is fascinating for me, especially because I love new advancements which can only be done in a laboratory.

In addition, I like the concept of how technology is advancing so fast, making things easier to do across the board, and making the manner in which research is done to change into a better way. Comparing the lab processes in the past with the current lab practices, and specifically in how technology can be used in these fields, one gets the concept of technological advancements at play.

A laboratory is a room that is used for practice, observation, or testing. It is a room that is equipped for scientific research (Nagy, 2003). Technology, on the other hand, points to the concept of knowing the techniques, processes, and ways of doing things. Technology can be understood from the concept of what can be placed in Machineries and computer devices, to be able to realize a final goal (Avison, 2003). These topics allow me to explore the two areas of my life that I enjoy looking into, and more so, understanding the manner in which new technology can be used to make laboratory functions can be enhanced.

The topic is also important for the industry. By studying how technology has made the issues to do with the laboratory better, it creates an understanding of how the future will look like and the different ways in which the technological advancements can help how we carry out testing, observation, and other forms of research.

Another advantage of technology is that it has led to innovation of so many things. This is a very big advantage in an organization since it increases its productivity and hence the profit is maximised. Technology is also an advantage in an organization since it saves labour of the employees.

On the other hand, technology has got its disadvantages. Technology has led to unemployment since the work that was initially done by human beings is now done by machines (Smith, 2014).

The project is going to discuss technology and how the concepts of technology are connected with those of laboratories. The discussion will also cover the concepts of how technology has led to the innovation of so many things, and how these inventions can help finesses the laboratory processes (Park, 2009).

This will be the angle that the paper is going to take. On the other hand, the technological advancements have created some issues for the laboratories, with the main problems being unemployment and the power requirements where the processes now all require power to be carried out.
