I need 2 one paged documents - Due Monday 4pm PST
Name
List of the kinds of instructions a professional in your field might have to write:
1.) How to set up distillation systems
2.) Instructions on how to read flow meters and barometers
3.) How to use the computer program Aspen
4.) How to recycle waste product streams
5.) How to utilize chemical process calculations
6.) Calculations showing how to determine thermodynamic properties
7.) Diagrams outlining NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) or GC (gas chromatography)
Who would be your audiences?
My audience would be mainly other engineers, but also possibly members of safety organizations (OSHA or FDA) or possible investors.
What would be the challenges involved in writing each kind of instructions?
Challenges could include making the lists thorough yet concise, or possibly making them easy enough for a non-technically proficient individual, such as an investor, to read.
What cautions and warnings would be required?
Whenever dealing with hazardous chemicals, a MSDS, or material safety data sheet, needs to be included. Also, rules and regulations set forth by OSHA, the occupational safety and health administration, need to be followed at all times.
What kinds of illustrations would be necessary?
Diagrams demonstrating simple or fractal distillation systems need to be included whenever distillation is needed, as well as diagrams showing gas chromatography or nuclear magnetic resonance.
