In preparation for this Forum visit the Big Five Personality Quiz website at http://www.outofservice.com/bigfive/ and take the short quiz, which assesses the five areas of the Big 5 Trait Theory of Personality. You will be asked about your perception of yourself in a variety of situations. Answer without thinking too much or trying to manipulate results by selecting particular answers.  When you have completed the quiz, you will be given a report on how you score in each of the five areas of personality.

After taking this short, interactive quiz, respond to the following questions.

  • What did the Big Five personality quiz tell you about who you are?  Answer this question using  the language of the “OCEAN” report the website provides after quiz completion, but do not just copy the report results into your post; instead paraphrase (restate in your own words) the results.
     

  • Do you think the results accurately or inaccurately portray how you see your personality? Using specifics, explain why or why not? YES
     

  • Thinking back to your experiences growing up, what would you say were the biggest influences on your personality development?  In answering this question, relate specific aspects of your personality described in the personality quiz OCEAN results to particular influences growing up.
