In this study, the methodology is qualitative with descriptive quantitative data collection. The research team collected data from a survey that was sent electronically. The main problem we are addressing in this study is the following:

This problem can be phrased in this overarching question:

Data Collection

Who will the research participants be? Where are they?

Who will you interview? Where will you interview this person? Why will you interview them?

When will the survey and interview be conducted?

Data Analysis

We will analyze the data by comparing the answers to our surveys to the themes in the literature review. We will look for common themes to the open-ended questions. When we compare the themes from the library research to our research, to answer our overarching question about the importance of intergenerational relationships. We want to see if there are differences and/or similarities between library research and our own research data.

From the survey, we will look for averages, means, and short answers to questions given from leikert-scale questions. We will also show some of the answers as percentages. This information will be shown in the findings.
