I would like to market a designer shoe through Instagram. Designer shoes target customers who are enlightened. Such customers can be reached via the Instagram campaign. Instagram is a smartphone application. Brown (2015) says stated that most of the young people and older adults, who are informed rely on Instagram to get the latest trends and fashions. Putting the designer shoe on Instagram will act to show how innovative the firm is to the clients. Clients who see an advertisement of the designer shoe in the Instagram platform will be self-persuaded find out more about the enterprise. When the potential and existing customers click to the firm's website, they will see the other products the firm is offering. The main purpose of using Instagram campaign is to inform the clients about the new and existing products. The people, who are targeted range between 40 years and below. The people like prefer getting receiving information about goods they want to purchase on through online platforms. Instagram will provide the firm with an ability to offer both verbal and visual messages. Instagram supports both written and video messages. Miles (2014) says stated that Instagram will come as an alternative to YouTube videos. Instagram serves the young generation, while YouTube serves the elderly generation (cite source). The two digital platforms will help it in market segmentation. The two groups will be served efficiently to a social media platform that that can change identity personally too in the electronics and smartphone business. The market served will increase as the firm brings Instagram onboard its digital platforms. Instagram has a contact button when pressed it displays options to reach a firm either through email, Facebook address, Twitter or telephone number.

Compare and contrast the fundamental differences between active marketing and passive marketing. Next, provide a scenario or example in which using a passive marketing strategy would bring benefit to this company. Provide a rationale for your response.

According to Brown (2015) , active marketing is where a firm maintains a direct contact with the client. Marketing is achieved via face to face meeting. Passive marketing involves reaching out to clients indirectly. Marketing is achieved via the use of customer representatives. Mobile phone devices can be advertised via passive marketing. Customers do research online about mobile phones. The time they decide to go to purchase a product in the market they have all they details about a product. The clients do not have to interact with the manufacturer but rather the seller. The seller acts as a customer care agent where customers check on availability of the handsets before the purchase is made. The firm benefits from savings that would have gone to active marketing.
