Mobile Application Development Project
A mobile application development project involves several phases and tasks that should be accomplished to ensure its success. In this scenario, the project involves creation of a user interface, a database end and control subsystem that will connect the user interface and the backend. The major objective for this project is a user friendly interface, efficient functionality and a secure database access and management. In this summary discussion, the project constraints, scope and budget will be given.
Human Resource
The project requires four major types of human resource to help accomplish various system development tasks. These individuals will be acquired from within the organization and others outsourced. The following is the list of the individuals;
1. One front end developer; this will be tasked to ensure the user interface is developed and all the objectives regarding the user experience are met.
2. Two graphic designers; these include the individuals that will develop the visual structure and functioning of the system. These graphics or visuals include flow charts, use cases and sequence diagrams (Hoehl & Venkatesh, 2015).
3. Three in-house programmer; these are the individuals who will be responsible for developing the system’s logic and executable codes. They will ensure the user interface is properly codes, the system logic is functional and also the bugs are removed.
4. One database programmer; this individual will be responsible for the mobile app’s database. The programmer will ensure proper database normalization; referential integrity and other aspects are developed accordingly.
Workload
The project’s workload is to be measured through the milestones of the project. Project milestones for this project are a reflection of the phases of system development life cycle (Hoehl & Venkatesh, 2015). Therefore, the project workload includes; system analysis, system design, system developing, testing the mobile app and deploying or implementing the application. In addition to the above milestones, the project also involves project planning. Project planning will be performed by the project manager whereby the project schedule will be created alongside project budget, scope, goals and dependencies.
