We would like to inform you of the management’s plans to review the floating holiday specifications.

The purpose of this review is to provide a more flexible arrangement where each employee will have

a day of their choosing for a holiday. Besides the regular holidays included in the company’s

constitution, the company seeks to shift the day off to better suit each employee’s schedule and ensure

that it does not halt operations. As it stands, we feel that the current vacation day does not benefit

employees since it does not necessarily fall at a time they need. A common floating holiday means

hours of productivity lost and this is something the management would hope to address through this

suggestion. Therefore, we consider revisiting the arrangement and seek your contribution in finding

the best time for you to go on a vacation.

Since the plan to eliminate a common floating holiday for all employees, our plan will be to allow

each employ choose a day that would prefer to have a vacation. Each employee will be expected to

choose a unique day that does not conflict with anyone else’s. In case two employees choose the same

day, the conflict will be addressed in terms of seniority. We do not anticipate that the process will

require a lot. Also we hope that this new arrangement will be a factor of convenience to your

schedule. We hope that the plan resonates well with everyone and will also benefit the company.

Kindly note that this will not be a mandatory option, if employees will not be pleased by this

suggestion, the management will be willing to stick with the current plan. We look forward to your

feedback through the HR email by Tuesday next week, November 1, 2016, to help make a decision.
