Bacillus Anthracis is a bacterium that causes anthrax. It is very large, spore forming, Gram-positive rod that takes up about 1-1.2µm in width and 3-5µm in length. Although it primarily causes anthrax in livestock, humans are also susceptible to this disease. Bacillus Anthracis can be cultivated under anaerobic or aerobic conditions.

Contagious Biological Pathogen is a biological microorganism that causes disease by means of infection. This is a broad term that is generally used to refer to bacterium, virus, prion, fungus, or other similar microorganisms. Pathogens can infect the host through pathways, and when they succeed in causing a disease, such diseases are defined as pathogenic. Soil contamination is considered as the most dangerous pathway because it can harbor pathogens for longer periods of time and with a greater possibility of persistence.

Hemorrhagic Fever is a generalized term that refers to severe illnesses that may result from four families of viruses and are sometimes identified by bleeding. These four families include yellow fever, Ebola, Marburg, and Lassa fever viruses. The illnesses caused by these viruses share some common characteristics, such as damaged blood vessels, inadequate self-regulation of the body, and affected internal organs.

Ballistic Missile is a missile that is distinguished by its ballistic trajectory for most of the flight path. It may or may not be used for weapon delivery. Ballistic missiles are generally distinguished by their range, which defines the maximum distance along the earth’s surface from the launch point to the impact point.

China Syndrome is a hypothetical catastrophic nuclear-reactor failure which may occur when a reactor melts through its containment system and burrows into the earth’s surface, thus traveling through the core in the direction of China
