There are diverse problems which I encountered while in the process of completing the case exercise. One of the problems was establishing the flow of activities from the starting point of casting the spell, to the end point, which was performing the ritual. It was also not an easy task to establish the manner in which to make use of the connector symbols in order to reduce the flow lines featured within the flowchart. In addition, it is was quite challenging to avoid the flow lines intersecting because in the event they intersected, the flowchart would not have effectively illustrated the casting of a love spell process. Besides, intersecting of flow lines creates a room for ambiguity in comprehending the flowchart as it becomes unclear and not easy to follow (Rensvold, 2014a).

The aforementioned problems can possibly be encountered while a flowchart of any “real-world” process as it is usually not easy to determine the logical start, as well as, finish of a flowchart. In addition, one is always tempted to have flow lines intersect, an aspect which should be greatly avoid if one desires to create a clear flowchart (Rensvold, 2014a). Some of the features of a process, which may turn out as difficult to depict utilizing a flowchart are such as: having to establish how to ensure that everything fits in a single in the event there are many features to be depicted within the flowchart; as well as, determining when to utilize a split path rather than the conventional decision symbol.
