Introduction
Human resource management plays a huge role in an organization
The HR department looks at the concerns of the employees while at the same time linking them with the management.
The purpose of the presentation is to look at business functions of the HR
In doing so, the presentation will investigate HR practices using Reyes Fitness Center as the case study.
In light of this, the presentation will include the challenges faced and how to address them.
Summary of Organization’s Capabilities and Employee Competencies
Reyes Fitness Centers, Inc. was launched in May 1999 by John Reyes
The market niche of the organization entails making fitness centers
Provide fitness club experience to couples and families
To increase revenue they opened several clubs each year offering club promotions that attracted new members.
The employee competencies entails recognizing the dynamics of member retention
Finally, the employees should have adequate customer service skills and training.
Challenges Needing Quick Address
Three challenges are imminent in the case study.

Summary of the Findings of the SWOT Assessment of HR function
Strengths
Lori has been doing a commendable job in the restructure of human resource.
Lori adds strategic value and is a credible activist to change the culture of the organization
Lori brings innovation as well as integration in HR.
Weaknesses
Opening more fitness centers is a risk that should be managed with the rate of member retention.
Employees are unaware of their impact to the success of the company

Implement performance based incentive program
Culture and change companion will be enhanced through incentive program
Hiring a business expert will offer guidance in coming up with policies.
Coming up with new organizational technology.

Hiring employees with great customer service and training skills
Conclusion (Summary of the Findings)
Despite the challenges faced by Reyes Fitness Center, there are many opportunities for growth.
As staff develops better customer service skills, member retention will reduce.
These opportunities will streamline work of the HR department thus leading to the anticipated growth and collaboration.
Some of the weakness in the organization are in-born and are solvable through involvement of all stakeholders including the employees (Mane, 2012).
