1. I think I understand all of the sections of the research based report. The most challenging section for me to write will be the body of the report. This portion is not only the longest but will need to incorporate all of the primary and secondary sources. This will take a lot of work to blend all of this information together. The easiest will probably be the table of contents.
2. A scholarly journal is something that has been peer reviewed and should be constructed based on generally accepted research techniques and writing practices. In theory these sources will be considered more credible compared to another runt of the mill source.
3. With all of the required components, I would think that it would be somewhere between 10-15 pages (depending on whether it is closer to 2,000 words or 3,000 words).
Jeremy:
1. The easiest section for me to write will probably be the executive summery since it is just a summery of what the paper is going to be about. The hardest section for me to write obviously is going to be the body because it is the portion that needs to be filled with supporting evidence to help explain the need for a change.
2. A scholarly journal is a peer-reviewed journal which has been reviewed by others who are considered to be experts in their particular field to qualify the content.
3. I would say somewhere in the 10-12 page range for a paper 2200-3000 words long. Why it needs to be that long is beyond me, most of it is going to be fluff anyway.
