Subject: Recent Incident

Good afternoon Mr. Harrelson,

It has come to my attention that there was a recent incident regarding the lawn care being provided to Mr. Stewart, a loyal customer which is assigned to one of your routes. Mr. Stewart has sent me a letter expressing his frustration and recounting what happened from his point of view. From what I understand, two new employees were tasked to provide lawn care where the incident occurred, which is strictly prohibited in our company policy. In order to resolve this issue as soon as possible, I would be anxious to speak to you about additional details surrounding this incident. Please contact me as soon as possible so we can gather all of the facts needed to further investigate this situation. Thank you!

Very Respectfully,

Stephen Chatterton

Internal Memo

Subject: Complaint from Mr. Stewart

Tom,

Mr. Stewart has claimed that our employees are responsible for the death of his fish during a recent visit and due to perceived rude employee attitudes, he has discontinued his business with us. As you may well know, Mr. Stewart has been a valued customer and has provided us with additional business through his personal recommendations. I would like a recount of which employees were sent to his property and what happened during the visit. How did this happen? Were the employees experienced enough to be out without proper supervision as per our company policy states? At this time, we are not sure as to what exactly happened so the quicker we figure this out the better chance we have of retaining Mr. Stewart’s business. Tom, you have been an outstanding supervisor during your time with Green Lawn Landscaping Management and I know you will want to get to the bottom of this as much as we do. In the future, we also need to make sure that all business we conduct is done professionally and correctly as to avoid situations like this.

Thank you for your attention,

Jeremy Carney
