Assessment A: Essay

You are required to submit a 1,000-word essay, demonstrating ability in academic writing, research, referencing, and written English.

Deadline: You must submit your work in class, to the deadline set by your tutor.

Cover-sheet: You must attach a completed essay cover-sheet to the front of your work in order for your work to be marked. You will find this on the NV 1600 section of Moodle. You need to insert your name and student-number at the top. Staple all pages together.

Title: You must submit an answer to the following title:

The UK has voted to leave the European Union. Prime Minister Theresa May says: “This is a moment of great opportunity for our country: the chance to forge a bold, new positive role for ourselves in the world, and to reshape our economy and our society here at home.” Identify issues connected with your degree subject (Business, Economics or Computer Science) which are capable of being affected by “Brexit,” and with reference to suitable sources consider the effect that Britain’s departure from the EU may have on it.
