You are expected to write an essay (2000-2300 words in length excluding footnotes and bibliography) relating to one of the main theoretical themes studied in the course. Students are expected to examine at least one case-study, use a theoretical model to explain the empirical case, and identify the dependent and independent variables. Your research should be supported by at least ten sources from peer-reviewed journals or books. The choice of a subject for the essay should be first discussed in individual discussions with the TA.
