This gets the reader to read.

This is appropriate for the letter.

This represents the main point.

Organization of Correspondence

Main point to get attention.

Details that support main point.

Clear up any negatives.

Show reader benefits.

Goodwill closing.

Types of Information

Transmittals.

Confirmations.

Summaries.

Response to complaints.

Thank-you notes.

Congratulatory notes.
