· Research Paper and Presentation (100 pts)
The student will select a topic and write a paper using 2-3 Peer-reviewed articles on a sustainable, food systems topic and the SOP document for RDN's in Sustainable Food Systems (50 points). The students will develop a narrated presentation based on their paper to upload to the forum (50 points). Students will be assigned a group or presentations to review and post questions.
Instructions
Research one topic area in sustainable food systems using 2-3 peer reviewed articles write a paper describing the system/issue, its role in nutrition delivery, and evidence of effectiveness or evidence supporting the utilization of this food system or support program. Identify the role of the RDN in regard to this topic describing in context to the Scope of Practice for RDN¿s in Sustainable Food Systems document. Identify other indivduals that an RDN and how these collaborations are necessary to fulfill the RDN¿s role in the setting described in your paper. Consider the concepts covered in chapter one when writing your paper.
Write no more than a 6-8 page double spaced paper on this topic. Be certain to cite your paper appropriately and include bibliography page. Papers are to be cited using 10th edition AMA format (link provided below). The research paper will be uploaded to Chalk and Wire by the stated due date (Oct. 4)
Students will develop a 15-20 minute presentation video on their topic and post it to their group forum site and upload to Chalk and Wire with the research paper. (Oct 4)
