GET STARTED

This worksheet is designed to help you review a lecture held at the Wexner Center for the Arts. You will collect the information you need and organize your thinking. Then write a detailed analysis of 800 to 1,000 words. This assignment is worth 100 points.

Pick a lecture. The Wexner Center has a full program of pubic lectures about artists and filmmakers, along with gallery talks on the current exhibitions there. Check out the schedule - http://wexarts.org/public-programs

This worksheet is organized in three steps:

In Step 1, State the name of the presenter, the location of the presentation and the time and date you attended.

In Step 2, you will take notes on the lecture and organize them for your essay.

In Step 3, you form a thesis (main point, how did it make sense to you?) for your analysis and then analyze the presentation in detail.

The combination of these three steps is a strategy for reviewing a lecture in your own words.

REMEMBER: late assignments will not receive on-time points AND you will lose additional points as follows:

1 day late: -20%

2 days late: -40%

3 days late: -60%

4 days late: -100%

IF YOUR SCHEDULE KEEPS YOU FROM GOING TO ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS or if you are taking the class remotely, please email your instructor for approval of a lecture you can attend, or consider doing the Art Worksheet instead.

These requirements are to be strictly followed or your assignment will not be accepted.
