Webster Raw Materials has been in business since 1989 and headquartered in West Memphis, Arkansas. We supply southern yellow pine and several specialty wood products to industrial, packaging, pallet and crating wood users.

We combine cutting edge technology with high production methods to remanufacture, resaw, gang rip, cut to length and produce banding groove lumber and other specialty wood products to provide a cost efficient solution for our industrial customers.

Our goal is to produce the best lumber available, while consuming less raw material than any other sawmill in the world. All Exterior Walls are 2x6 with Energy Efficient R19 Insulation. All series of homes constructed by Webster Construction Company are built with 2 x 6’s. This allows more insulation in the sidewalls and much stronger construction. 
LUMBER – Webster Construction Company frames and constructs each home with #1 and #2 lumber. We do not use #3 lumber or culls. This largely eliminates any potential warping or bowing.
 Double 2 x Studded Headers above doors and windows vs. single stud design. This measure prevents sagging, contributing to greater structural integrity. 
7/16”s Tech Shield Radiant Heat Barrier Roof Decking (lessens attic heat by approximately 30 degrees thereby increasing shingle life.) Significant long term energy cost savings are realized. All series of homes constructed by Deer Valley Homebuilders include this significant energy savings feature standard.
½” Finished Sheetrock throughout Home vs. Partial finished drywall or vinyl on gypsum. Typical thickness of vinyl on gypsum is 3/8” or less. Thicker sheetrock is less likely to break/crack and has a greater firewall rating.
Rework- Reduce rework and revision of finished prefabricated components by 95%

Continuous Concrete - Rule of thumb: add 1/4" to the thickness of your slab for your slab concrete budget. This assumes you have the job evenly graded to the right depth, and the grade is well compacted.

If you check your grade and one spot is 4", some spots are 4.5" to 5"-the best solution for both the job quality and your concrete budget is to fix the grade.

Odd shapes: Transform odd shapes into rectangles and odd shapes are suddenly easy to figure.

Figure driveway 14' x 20' and your estimate will be good. Here is why: The driveway is 16' at the top and 12' at the bottom. Through the center the width averages 14'.

Footings will rarely follow the drawing exactly. In rocky soil the footings may collapse when big rocks are excavated

This was supposed to be a 12"*12" footing, but note how the left side of the footing has collapsed. Calculate the true width.

The excavator may have dug too deep, or it may have rained and footings needed to be dug out deeper to reach firm soil. So it is important to check a variety of spots on your footing and get an average size. Then use the calculator to figure the amount of concrete needed.

House slabs on grade that are 8" out of grade with a 4" slab also have some of the footing above the grade too.

This 12" x 12" footing needs to be calculated 12" x 16" so the footing is figured to go above grade to reach the 4" slab thickness.

A 20 cubic yard order with 1 cubic yard left over is a good order; so, 1-1.5 c.y. extra will be needed.

 

Rubber Aisle Pavers - Rubber aisle pavers are 1 ½” thick rubber pavers which offer excellent shock absorption and protection. They interlock and are great for use in barn aisles and surrounding areas.

Stable-Ity Grid - can be installed to eliminate digging in stalls. They provide excellent drainage and may be a great choice for looser packed flooring types like sand.
