The projected Audience for my Presentation is - High School Seniors starting their journey whether it be to continue on with their education or start in to the workforce.
My Audience, being High School Senior, Will understand the importance of effective listening skills.
Introduction
One of the most important tools you will use as you embark on this new chapter of your life is how to effectively use listening skills. Whether it is listening to a teacher navigate you on a new voyage through history or an employer teaching you a skill to rise up and meet your goals within a company, listening skills are a very import part of your new journey.
Body
1. One of the most important parts of effective listening is, well actually listening
· Maintain eye contact
· Present yourself as paying attention
· Take notes
2. When listing to someone speak try picture what is being told to you.
· Really concentrate on how what is being said makes you feel
· Ask Clarifying questions
· Non-verbal Communications
3. A key point in effective listening skills is waiting until the Speaker has had a chance to finish.
· pass judgment on presentation
· Plan your response
· Regular Feedback
Conclusion
No matter what path you chose in life, effective learning skills can save you time and money as well build new relationships with friends and family. Actually listening to someone and feeling what is being told to you might just be a rare gift that you yourself will have the power to unlock, as well as waiting for that individual to finish will show patients and respect on your part.
