1. Open the data file Stock located in

the Chapter 16\On Your Own

folder. Save the workbook as Stock

Chart.

2 In the Documentation worksheet,

enter your name in cell B3 and

enter the current date in cell B4.

3 In the Stock Values worksheet,

create a line chart with markers

based on the volume of stocks from

January 2014 through December

2016.

4 Move the embedded chart to a chart

sheet named Stock Volume.

5 Add an appropriate chart title

above the chart area, and set the

font to an attractive size.

6 Remove the chart legend.

7 Add appropriate axis titles to the

axes. Change the font size for each

axis title as needed so that the titles

are legible.

8 For the primary vertical axis, set

the maximum value of the axis

scale to 1,500,000 and set the

minimum value to 200,000. Change

the major units to 100,000.

9 Change the font size of all the axis

values as needed for legibility.

10 Display the horizontal and vertical

major gridlines as dashed lines.

11 Change the color of the data

markers to a complementary color.

12 Add a line sparkline to cell E2 to

display the closing value of the

stock for all the dates given.

13 In the column G, create a new

column of values named Difference

that is equal to the difference

between the stock’s closing value

and its opening value on each day.

14 Add a win/loss sparkline to cell G2

that indicates the days that the

stock gained value and the days

that the stock lost value.

15 Save the workbook, and then close

it.
