DB#7: Scope Management

The Khan article opens with the sentence "Managing the scope of a project is the most important function of a project manager." After reading the article, do you agree or disagree with this statement? If you agree, support your position. If you think the author is wrong, support your position and state what you think IS the most important function of a project manager and why.

Discussion Boards Rules:

Each week of the Management in IT course features mandatory Discussion Board participation. Learners are required to post a 200-400 word, grammatically correct entry on the topic presented. At least one scholarly reference - such as the course text or peer-reviewed journal articles - should be cited in APA format in each week's post (some exceptions are noted in the discussion instructions). In addition, each week you are required to post a response to at least two other students’ initial post. These response posts must be substantial, not simply “Great post!”, and should offer comments, questions, or suggestions to promote further discussion. Initial posts are due by the end of Tuesday of each week. Response posts are due by the end of Friday of each week. Rubrics are presented with each discussion to provide clarity on the grading criteria.
