Visual communication is just about everywhere we look. Reflect on the visuals you’ve seen in your daily life over the past couple weeks, and the messages they’ve communicated (e.g., TV commercials, billboards, magazine ads, web ads, websites, product packaging, photographs, etc.). Do any stand out in your mind? If so, why do you think they were so effective in getting your attention? Are there any trends you are noticing specifically in today’s media?
One of the major visual communications that sticks out in my head is all the video clips and edit photos of each presidential candidate because it is everywhere right now from social media to tv commercials to neighbors having signs out in their yards. The main reasons why this is getting my attention is because election day is coming up sooner then we release plus I don’t go five minutes of day not seeing the name Trump or Clinton somewhere. When it comes to watching TV you can tell what TV station is for what candidate. If you watch FOX new you will see that they are Trump supports because of how nail Clinton’s past and have nothing bad to say about Trump. Also when you watch CNN you will see that they are Clinton supporters because they do the same for Clinton. It would be nice to find a TV station that is neutral so everyone isn’t easily influents by the station they watch.
