Grading rubric for AAU capstone research paper/thesis/applied research
The capstone project will be graded according to the following criteria:

Points
Research Paper
Title: simple and descriptive noting key variables
Purpose: stated at beginning and overviews what project is about
Relevance: explains need, importance, significance of the study (include citations if appropriate)
Hypotheses: (if appropriate) statement of what specifically will be tested
Organization: includes background, introduction, review of literature, supporting materials, findings, and conclusion
Methodology: design, instrumentation, participants, data treatment appropriate for study
Writing Coherence/Vocabulary: flow of writing, fluent use of terms and concepts
References: Minimum 10-15 from academic sources (primarily recent journals)
Mechanics: accurate spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc.
APA Style: very precise adherence to guidelines
