Nuclear Energy!

The Forgotten Risk

By today many questions has been asked about the future of energy, for its extreme need obviously. With us moving too fast with the industrial movement and the technological. The world’s consumption in 2013 according to Key world energy statistics depends on oil around 31.3%, Coal 28.6%, Natural gas 21.2%, Biofuels 10.3%, Nuclear 4.8% Hydro 2.4% and some other ones for r 1.4%. Looking at the sources we have, we see that most of them either will not last forever like oil and natural gas, or has a bad effects of on us or the nature like burning the coil and or they simply don’t have the capacity to provide us with good amount of our needs. We are going weather the nuclear energy would be the answer for all of these questions.

First lets explain what is Nuclear energy is and where do we get it from.

The nuclear energy comes from the idea of splitting uranium isotope atoms to two and produce and heat which we can use to boil water and produce our energy. According to the world nuclear association they simply define how it works “ in the reactor core the uranium-235 isotope fissions or splits, producing a lot of heat in a continuous process called a chain of reactions”. They also add “ several hundred fuel assembling contenting thousands of small pellets of ceramic uranium oxide fuel to make up the core of the reactor”.

Next, would be to see it’s pros and cons. The Nuclear energy has as anything else a bad side, but dose its benefits cross or at least minimize it’s bad side. We will be positive and look to the pros first. The Nuclear energy produced 4.1% of the world with taking consideration that most of the world today is insisting on depending on oil when they actually can focus on securing and researching these other sources like nuclear energy. Second would that nuclear energy considered to be a friendly process to the pollution around it, ( except it’s waste and sometimes the mining of it ). And according to World Nuclear Association, it also costs really low for operating the nuclear process. Last but not least it’s ( kind of ) renewable energy, we can through fusion reactor and a breeder produce another element that we can use like we did with uranium which is plutonium.

Finally, it’s the cons or disadvantages of using the nuclear energy and depend on it. First on the list surly would be the huge risk of having an accident where it’s produced. According to S. Smith a thermodynamics prof at Jill Johnson “ the melt down of 500-megawtt reactor located 30 miles from a city would couse the immediate death of an estimated 45,000 people. Second, would the waste of the reactors, each one generates annually 20-30 tons of high-level nuclear waste.

At the end after we have figured what is nuclear energy and how it’s used.

We gave couple head points of the positive side of the energy and also the negative. In general, I think the world should give the nuclear energy a chance but not before actually maintain it and find . I think we can make great use of it.
