Student 2:
In a data set that display is a normal distribution, and the mean is at the middle and divides the area into two halves, another the shape of the graph is bell curve, so the graph is symmetrical. An example of normal distribution would be SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), by comparing all student’s score, the score of a large number of students were sampled and the mean and standard deviation. That would be know the average of student score.
Student 3:
When looking at a data set that expresses a normal distribution I would look to see of it is symmetrical about the center, this would be the mean. The mean, median, and mode should also all be the same. I would also look for the point of inflexion about the standard deviation. An example of normal distribution would be IQ scores. Say you are comparing a student’s IQ score to those of other students and that student scored better than 99.87% of the other test takers. This would be referred to as a percentile.
Student 4:
In a normal distribution displayed on a data set, the mean would be in the middle of the graph with symmetrical sides on each half. A normal distribution example could be the height of the average teenager, by comparing a number of students of average height and the same number of students who are above or below the average height.
Student 5:
A normal distribution would be symmetrical and the mean, median, and mode would be the same. For example, the amount of milk a cow produces in one day. This is a continuous random variable because it can have any value over a continuous span. During a single day, a cow might yield an amount of milk that can be any value between 0 gallons and 5 gallons. It would be possible to get 4.12 gallons, because the cow is not restricted to the discrete amounts of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 gallons.
