What is causing problem between Tom and Helen?

Basically there is a communication breakdown between the two persons. It is also more than just a communication problem but that is the root. Helen has very different expectations from Tom and probably Tom is not able to understand these expectations. Because the director Helen is not able to communicate these expectations well to Tom, Tom thinks that Helen is just being irrational and trying to make him look bad in acting. Helen should explain her expectations to Tom so that he can respond positively and measure up to the standards that she wants.

Set design and wardrobe problem.

The problem between the set design and wardrobe designers is purely as it is, design. The wardrobe design should be seen to create harmony and respect of the occasion and setting. It seems that the suggested wardrobe for the actors seems to conflict and create sharp conflict increased of harmony for the current scenes and settings. The wardrobe needs to bow to occasion and setting to bring out an aspect of serious planning and attention to details. Unless this is not happening as the colors chosen for the particular setting seems to contrast and conflict with both mood and occasion.

Could these problems have been prevented? How can the problems now can be solved?

It is possible to prevent these problems. One of the things is to ensure that both Tom and Helen are able to communicate at the same level and understand each other’s abilities. As the director, Helen is supposed to be more proactive and set the pace for communicating clearly and briefly. As an example, Helen can incorporate verbal elements to bring out the aspects of a scene as she expects it from Tom. It would also have done the situation much better if Helen would have decide to briefly explain what she meant with a passionate love scene. It can be solved by determine everyone’s needs, assess communication practices and capabilities, and analyze internal and external communication.
