Proper Reporting of the One-Way Repeated Measures ANOVA
Reporting a one-way ANOVA in proper APA Style requires an understanding of the following elements. The sphericity assumption is checked with the Mauchly test. If the Mauchly test is significant (sphericity is violated), then it is recommended that the researcher report an F test with an epsilon correction (such as Greenhouse-Geisser; Huynh-Feldt). To provide context for the repeated measures ANOVA, provide the means and standard deviations of outcome variable Y for each level of the between-subjects factor. An estimated marginal means plot with an interpretation also provides context (see Figure 22.20 of the Warner (2013) text).
