Formatting & Structure of the Essay

Each research paper/essay must be typed and must follow the following guidelines:

· 6-8 typed pages in length, not counting the title page and the references/bibliography section pages

· Must be typed in Times New Roman 12-point font

· Double-spaced

· Each page must be numbered at bottom center

· All margins must be one-inch in width

· Referenced sources must be identified in your text and cited in full in the References section at the end of the paper. All sources listed in the References section must be properly cited. Citation formatting according to the APA Style Manual is preferred.

· You must cite any and all material from any source, including Internet sources, which you refer to in your writings.

The following sections must be included in the essay:

1. Title Page (per the example provided)

2. Introduction

3. Discussion

4. Conclusions

5. References (start on a new page)

All papers must be typed in Microsoft Word and must be submitted via an attachment using the associated Assignments link in the week’s assignments folder.
