Human resource managers have the responsibilities of overseeing the employee affairs in terms of administrations in a healthcare setting. Benefits of the human resource department have been found to have rapidly gained recognition, especially in the healthcare industry. The role of human resource managers in healthcare includes staffing and placement which is the essential activity of the organization. In this act, the human resource managers organize as well as conduct the selection process for the recruitment of appropriate candidates for available positions. Human resource department partakes the act of ensuring that the staffs in the health care facility are sufficient to handle the patients and ensure that they are all qualified and most importantly competent. In carrying out these, the department advertises the jobs and conduct interviews for those who have applied.

The human resources department's main function is to carry out the act of ensuring that the healthcare facility has enough staff to carry out various roles which are perceived to be very important for the operation of the facility. The human resource managers in this regards are responsible for ensuring that the functions of human resource department are carried out so that efficiency can be achieved (Torrington, Hall, Taylor, & Atkinson, 2014).

The major roles of the human resource departments are to ensure that the employee relations are good which imply that they should have the ability to understand each other and work together as a team. The department in this regards ensures that the matters dealing with staff members who have misbehaved are disciplined accordingly so that they can know what they should carry out themselves in the course of their duties. Still, in the employee relations, they carry out measurements of job satisfaction by engaging the employees to resolve the conflicts in case it arises during their duties.

Moreover, they carry out compensation benefits to the employees. These functions are mainly handled by the human resource specialist whose function ranges from setting the salary and compensation structures while considering the competitive pay practices for the staff in the organization basing on the roles and the experience ad most o9mortantly on the duties which they carry out in the organization (In Abdelhak & In Hanken, 2016).

Consequently, human resource department are mandated to carry out training and development to employees so that they can continue being competent in the areas of their work within the healthcare industry. This involves the offering of the newly recruited employees the extensive training which is aimed at helping them to transit to understand the organization culture and become conversant with the duties which they are expected to be carrying out in their daily activities. Moreover, such programs are directed to the employees who are facing various technological changes and thus there is need to be trained so as to be technologically updated as well.
