Evaluation of Wal - Mart Location and Shipping Process Change
Wal-matt business current situation is not effective to the extent of enhancing high level of sales online. Competition from other selling entities has made it hard to expand and increase on its current customer base. The business should ensure that the current procedures are improved and the customer number is increase to the level suit to enhance good returns without incurring a loss. Suppliers of the products are to be evaluated and a decision should be made on the best strategies to be established in order to ensure that the products are available when needed (Moon, 2015).
Equally, the regulation procedure and rules should be established .The products supplied are not excess either since this may lead to a high level of retail cost. In order to increase convenience in terms of delivery, the business should establish in every state a convenient warehouse (Moon, 2015). By doing so, the time of delivery will be reduced and at the same time the cost accredited to delivery will be reduced, e.g. transportation costs.
If all the proposed changes are to be considered, the business is likely to improve on customer loyalty and therefore expanding the level of sales due to increased number of customers. Likewise, the business can be able to have a competitive advantage over other related businesses due to its convenience and maintained loyalty to customers (Ranganathan, 2012). Every proposed changes calls for the business to improve on its technology standards in order to have a well-established system that is not obsolete. At the end the business is likely to earn more return as compared to the present level of returns (Yamanaka et al., 2013).
