Black Lives Matter

The year is 1840, oh wait, I mean, the year is somewhere between 1910 and 1965. Well, actually the year is 2016, but by today’s events, one would think that we were still within the slavery and or Jim Crow era. Racial tensions are at an all-time high; we have a reality star/investor/real estate seller that is running for president, while at the same time he awakening EVERY closet racist in America by chanting the slogan “Make America Great Again”, with the operative word being “great”. When was America great or not great? And by great, do you mean “white”? Police brutality and injustice killings of citizens are at an all-time high and even with the use of cameras and the evidence being as clear as day doesn’t stop the atrocities in this country.

My topic will cover the Black Lives Matter movement, where the term/slogan came from, who created the term, what exactly does “Black Lives Matter” mean, is this organization to the liking of the black KKK or are they a peaceful group of individuals that simple want equal justice of all people, regardless of race. My marketing plan will cover and include ways to spread the word about the Black Lives Matter movement, what platforms can be used to promote and how can gatherings and rallies be promoted in a proper manner . With social media being the main marketing tool, the Black Lives Matter movement has reached across the globe, showing people from all walks of life how minorities; primarily African Americans are still being treated in the century.
