Overview
This is your final assignment for this class and will be due during Week 4. You will use the research information and data gathered in Weeks 1 & 2 to complete your presentation. You must have completed assignments 1 & 2 before you can complete the Final Presentation. Please contact your instructor if you have not completed assignments 1 & 2.
****Make sure during all of these steps, you consult with your instructor if you have questions regarding the concepts/formulas you are going to use for your research.
The purpose of this assignment is to help students:
1. Learn about the many applications of math in their chosen career field.
2. Be able to relate Mathematical concepts in CMA to their field of study by stating its relevance and its use.
3. Be able to explain in detail how Mathematical concepts are used in their field of study using correct mathematical terminology.
4. Be able to demonstrate a mathematical example from their field of study.
Instructions:
You are required to create a presentation using Keynote or Power Point. The presentation must be a minimum of SEVEN slides. Don't forget this is the same topic and data you already researched in assignment 2.1 during data research.
1. Title: Your first slide must contain your full name and due date of the assignment, the title of the topic, and any subtitle required to specify variations of any formula used.
2. Concept: Explain how this concept is used in the chosen discipline and state it's importance. Give examples showing it's importance or lack of importance.
3.Formula: Any formula or math used in the real world problem in slide 3 must be worked out in a step by step fashion. Each step must be explained (this may take more than one slide).
4. Word Problem: Create a real world problem based on your research along with a picture of the scenario. Each part of the problem representing variables in the formula must be represented in the picture and properly displayed for easy understanding. Pictures may be original or downloaded.
Video Concept: Any links to videos or websites further explaining the role of your concept in the industry.
Bonus: This will be your bonus slide that may have have additional information about the problem, other examples, videos, or music.
