Learner Guide to APA Writing Feedback Rubric
This paper will be the second component of your final project research paper.
For this assignment, you will describe the method you used to conduct your study and report your findings. To be able to complete this assignment, you will need to:
· Identify the behaviors you will be looking for in your study and devise a method for recording them.
· Understand and apply the ethics of naturalistic observation.
· Conduct your research in two 20-minute periods.
When you have completed this groundwork, write a 5–7-page, double-spaced paper, in which you:
· Describe your research activities. What did you do?
· Comment on your ethical obligations or challenges.
· Describe what you saw. What did you notice?
· Analyze your results.
· Identify the major themes that emerged.
· Analyze your results in relationship to the themes.
· Support this analysis with 4–5 references to the literature.
For this assignment, you can include up to two references from a current source that is not a peer-reviewed journal, such as a news article or a government report. Be sure to format your references in APA sixth edition style.
Note: Before submitting this assignment, remember to submit your paper to Turnitin for review of proper referencing. If you receive a report that has a high percentage of referencing issues, you must make changes in your paraphrasing, summarizing, or use of direct quotes in your paper. It is a good goal to get your Turnitin report percentage below 15 percent.
