I choose to write about the house of Plantagenet because it was considered of the most powerful England kingdom by many scholars. How the house of Plantagenet became the most powerful empire at that time? I will write about the judicial reform, territory, and the power of royal government. At the time Henry II succeed to the throne, the kingdom was in disarray, there were many serious problems need to be solved. The most significant achievements made by Henry II was judicial reform; firstly, he expanded the power of royal government which greatly reduced the judicial power of the lords. It extremely beneficial to the British judicial unification, the British common law was created. The other significant content of judicial reform was Henry II implemented jury system, which effective prevent power abuse in the legal system of government. During that time, the dynastic marriages of his daughters, he gained great influence in Castile, Sicily, and Germany. Henry II created a base for the rise of the empire, no matter on the political side, or on the culture and education sides, he had made a great contribution, at that time, it was known as The House of Plantagenet. His contributions as a base, prepared the rise of the England empire.
