Note that substantive participation on extra discussion threads is always counted toward the participation requirement.
Hi, everyone – I’ve been pleased to see such respectful discussions, accepting of different perspectives and worldviews. The Module on categorization, including social groupings and casting social judgment, can sometimes ruffle some feathers with regard to what is innate, what is evolutionary, what is learned, and what is harmful to society. This class held very civil and engaged discourse on these topics.
Please again offer your thoughts on the "muddiest point" in the previous week's Module. Please share what parts of lecture, scholarly readings, and discussions seem still not quite clear.
If you feel so inclined, please briefly respond to this DQ with your thoughts to the questions below.
1. In one sentence, what did you learn in Module 3?
2. What was the "muddiest point" of concepts covered in Module 3?
3. Is there a topic you'd like to know more about (e.g., additional resources, articles)?
Thank you!
Warmly,
Dr. Swanson
