Running Head: BUSINESS PROPOSAL 1

My current job is an indirect sales executive for a wireless company, and I work for a billion dollar company. Although I work for a billion dollar company the company that I’m titled to is a little brother company of sorts. I work for Cricket Wireless according to my shirt, but AT&T owns Cricket. I actually have been working for AT&T for nearly 11 years. I just recently switched to the newly acquired Cricket side. My role in the company is working with principle owners who own franchises of Cricket. I ensure that all locations are in corporate compliance. I also work with owners to ensure that the locations are running as profitable as they can be. With this being said I am limited in my actual ability to implement change, but I am still expected to encourage positive change in numbers and profitability. My companies’ (AT&T/ Cricket) biggest area of concern is return on Investment and return on operations. My proposal will directly affect both of these are of concerns. My company’s corporate agreement with the principle owners does not require locations to have live security cameras. A few of my owners have cameras in the location but it is not the best quality. In fact some of them are such low quality we can’t identify which employee is on camera. My company (AT&T) already offers home security systems to the customers. I believe the company should offer all of the owners 50% off on security and make it a requirement for all of the franchise owners to have this security. Several of the locations that I am responsible for have had to fire employees due to theft, and have several incidents of phones and inventory missing. Worse then firing employees, some locations were unable to fire people who may have been stealing due to the low camera quality not being able to definitively see who was stealing. There is no reason a company that sells security systems with wireless monitoring should not have this service within franchise locations as well. In my proposal I will outline several reasons why this should be a mandatory thing that the company helps its franchise owners pay for.

Arguments for proposal

~A top notch organization should have top notch security. Our parent company offers high quality security and although we operate separately, many customers know we are AT&T. It’s a bad look not to offer our own service to our own locations.

~Mobile monitoring will help owners and management monitor production and increase productivity.

~Reduce theft which increases profits and decreases turnover which costs the company money.

~Security comes with water and gas monitors and control for increased safety.
