Economics: How Businesses Can Do Well By Doing Good

Introduction

The year 2015 saw leaders in numerous organizations adopt sustainable development goals and strategies for the sake of enhancing the effectiveness of their respective entities. Development challenges, which have been considered global challenges, have been focused on, with the aim of enhancing the business world. It is evident that many entities aim at wealth and profit maximization (Eric, 2016). However, there is a need to look into the various aspects which influence the success of a business, both internally and externally, doing good to the society will not affect the profitability of an entity in a negative manner, but is bound to bring about long-term success to the organization.

Statement of the problem

Social responsibility is a concern in various platforms in different entities. Business trends need to remain stable, and beneficial to the society as a whole. At the same time, there is a need to embrace the need to take care of the environment despite the challenges facing entities.

Objectives

Humanity has the capacity to make organizations succeed. The strength of an organization is reflected in the corporate social responsibility practices the organization engages in. organizations need to be on the forefront to ensure that the community and the surroundings within which they operate remains safe and that the welfare of all stakeholders is conserved. In developing countries, enterprises are considered to be the engine of economic growth. The role of a business in the economy should not be shunned, and the business should as well respect environments within which they operate. The main objective is to increase business success and at the same time, look into the welfare of the surrounding environment and the community at large.

Plan of action

Businesses will only succeed in the event that plans are strategically set to ensure that while profitability is achieved, the economic growth is also realized. The main goal of this research is to explain the criteria for determining ways in which entities can engage in effective CSR measures and at the same time contribute towards economic growth. Employee involvement is one of the best ways to ensure that operations in the entity are considerate to environmental concerns. This is the basic step towards achieving economic growth.

Conclusion

Poverty reduction can be considerably green and fair. Neither developing nor the developed countries are willing to sacrifice their development for the sake of the environment. Soils and the environment at large continue to be polluted at the expense of organization success (Eric, 2016). Economic fairness dictates that it is important to consider organization principles and goals but at the same time, be a hundred times more considerable of the environment. Generally, the thought of corporate social responsibility has been emphasized on.
