Male Speaker: There are two subjects I would like to briefly touch on and both are widely overlooked. The first is water and the second is protein. Anytime you increase your activity, you should increase your intake of both protein and water. Protein is the necessary building block of the body. To help the body repair itself during the tearing down process that naturally occurs during this or any other activity that increases stress on the body. When your body increases its activity, whether its physical or emotional, it increases its protein and water requirement. So should you. so please be aware of that. How to tell if you are hydrated or have enough water in your system is that you should always have a little water in the back of your mouth at all times. If you ever get to the point that your mouth is dry, not only are you dehydrated, but extremely so. Other signs of dehydration are sticky mouth, low or no urine output, concentrated urine appears dark yellow, not producing tears, sunken eyes and during a physical examination they would find low blood pressure, rapid heart rate, your skin may lose its elasticity and sag back into place slowly when pinched, delayed capillary refill in short. In addition with dehydration, you may experience vomiting, diarrhea or the feeling that you cant keep anything down. Did you know that your brain is 80% water? Untreated dehydration can result in seizures, permanent brain damage or death. Although drinking water has immediate benefits, it takes 72 hours for water to get to the cellular level, where your body can take full advantage of it. So you may feel good after one good drink of water but you are 72 hours behind where you should be and that's if you just became dehydrated. There are a number of drinks, you can purchase that help the body with proper hydration. They are commonly known as isotonic type drinks. They replace the body's fluids lost by dehydration, but my background and common sense dictates that I lean to natural substances as much as possible. So, if you want to save money or make a drink that will rival any drink sold on the market today the ingredients is 200 milliliters of concentrated orange juice, one liter of water, one gram of salt. Mix all the ingredients and chill. Its that simple. So please during this grip method and grip-plus technique please increase both your protein and water intake. Thank you.
