Assessment description
In the first part of this task, you will gather information about one workplace environmental hazard. You will then follow workplace procedures to report the hazard in compliance with legislation, regulations and/or codes of practice.
In the second part of this task, you will identify two areas for improvement based on your process maps and measures of resource use (from Assessment Task 2) and/or environmental hazard. You will then present, discuss and modify your suggested improvements.
You may complete this task individually or as a team, but you must submit your documents individually.

e. follow workplace procedures to document and report the hazard.
Part B
1. Using information gathered in Assessment Task 2, develop at least two improvements that can be made at the workplace. The improvements must relate to reducing resource use or waste and or workplace hazards.
2. You are required to complete a relevant workplace document to suggest improvements, or fill out the attached Improvements in the Workplace template, making sure to:
a. identify and explain the problem (hazard, resource use or waste) that will be improved
b. describe the two improvements
c. describe how the improvements will contribute workplace sustainability and health and safety (where applicable)
d. describe how the improvements support workplace policies/procedures, objectives or work plans (such as organisational sustainability operational plan).
3. Present your suggestions for improvements in writing, or in a meeting, with your supervisor/work team.
