Who your reader is: Mr. Wade Brooks, the owner of Ocean View Grill (your boss)
Background: Ocean View Grill is looking to expand its client base by promoting and advertising the restaurant more. Your boss, Mr. Wade Brooks, is interested in using social media as a tool to advertise and reach more people by spreading awareness of the restaurant. Currently, the restaurant does not have any social media accounts. Mr. Brooks asked you to research the effectiveness of social media advertising and write a two-page analytical report on the topic.

1. Use the library’s databases and online sources to find a minimum of three credible, non-academic sources published within the past five years to gather information for your report. Credible sources include national news media, restaurant industry websites, trade journals and magazines, etc.
2. Write a full two-page, direct strategy analytical memo report addressed to Wade Brooks. After your report introduction, explain what social media services are available and how they can be used for advertising, including cost, ease of use, popularity, etc. Then, discuss in detail two or three relevant and specific advantages and disadvantages to social media advertising. Conclude your report by summarizing your research and recommending a plan to use (or not use) social media to advertise Ocean View Grill.
3. Revise your drafts to ensure your message follows the instructions given here, in your COMM class, and on the checklist.
