Sears - Virtual Workplace Communication Plan
There are many types of virtual communication used in the workplace including telephone calls, using emails and other internet sites like Twitter, WhatsApp, and faxes. They are necessary because they increase productivity, reduces costs and does work to be balanced with life at home. This means that one can communicate to the workplace and can share with work mates when they are far from the work place. In fact, there are some issues which cannot wait for the face to face communication and virtual communication is destined to save such situations. Also, there are issues which are secretive and immediate. Thus virtual communication is the best.
However, there are some negative impacts which are connected with virtual communication but of which at most times we assume because of its benefits. In the first place, they are not saving for important data concerning a company because they can be availed by anybody. For example, when using a phone, it can be seen by anybody because it can be left anywhere or even friends can share. Also, there are some issues which are supposed to be sorted out in a face to face communication due to negotiations needed. Further, when a given worker is expected to see a specific product or a service, it becomes very hard to communicate by virtual means, because the weight may be under or over-approximated.
