CASE STUDY
EVALUATION OF ASSIGNMENT There is no specific page length. Your assignment will be evaluated based on your analysis,
according to the following criteria:
(1) Application of FOUR cases (among those listed on Study.Net);
(2) Application of at least FOUR readings (at least ONE must be an article vs. a note) (list of
acceptable notes and articles is posted on Study.Net); readings must four different
readings, not by same author(s) or on exact same topic;
(3) Application of moral theory (your choice) as to which/how;
(4) Application of decision-making framework included in moral theory presentation at
beginning of semester—background (summary/not overly detailed), generalizable thesis
question, stakeholders, options, moral theory and conclusion (i.e., action plan or
recommended course of action);
My recommendation is that you begin with what you would do and why and then go over your
analysis, but you are free to proceed however you choose in whatever format. Creativity is
welcome. Keep in mind that application involves more than simply citing a reference.
Formal footnoting is not necessary! I do, however, recommend that you bold or in some
way highlight your references, and you should include a simple list of your references to
cases, articles and notes at the end of your paper.
This is an “open book” assignment. While you are discouraged from doing research (i.e., via
Google), you can refer to any and all of your own materials, including materials posted on
Study.Net.
