Rather than submitting a traditional essay, choose an author from one of the texts that we have read (through Week 5) and build a web project around him/her.

1. Create a Facebook page

Before you begin, spend some time thinking about the characteristics of each of these media; the advantages and disadvantages of each, audience, idiom, format. Why is the one that you have chosen a good match for the author?

The author options are:

Bradford Bradstreet Taylor

Rowlandson Crèvecoeur Paine

Adams Franklin Equiano

· Creativity is encouraged and will be rewarded

· Grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. will count!

FACEBOOK PAGE for AUTHOR http://likesreviewer.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/is320.jpg

· Profile name and picture/icon

· Wall posts (5-6)

As an example, here is a link to a similar project that a student did for one of my other classes where she created a FB page for a fictional character in a short story set in the 19th century.

The link to the page is here: https://www.facebook.com/louisa.ellis.33

Of course, this example could be expanded even more, but it gives you a starting point.
