Communicating with Your Target Population

It is critical to enlighten women about the chances of suffering cardiovascular diseases and how to avoid these chances. Heart diseases affect women more than they affect men, and this is something that women should be educated about. The best mode of communicating to women will be television commercials. This is simply because many women usually watch the television as most of them are home early in the evening. In the case of using television commercials, the advertisements should be run in the programs like the telenovela films that are mostly watched by women. Running the commercials about heart diseases in the telenovela will ensure that many women can get the message intended and will pass the message to their other women counterparts.

Another efficient way of communicating with women about the heart diseases is through posters and billboards. The signs and billboards are visible to everyone and should be erected in places where it will reach a lot of women and the public in general. Billboards should be put up in places near shopping malls and posters in almost every salon. Shopping malls and salons are the places that women visit most frequently and having messages about heart diseases will get to a large number of women, and the message will eventually educate the women ADDIN EN.CITE <EndNote><Cite><Author>Malissa Wood</Author><Year>2011</Year><DisplayText> (Wood & McDowell, 2011)</DisplayText><record><ref-type name="Book">6</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Malissa Wood</author></authors></contributors><titles/><title>Smart at heart : a holistic 10-step approach to preventing and healing heart disease for women</title><periodical/><dates><year>2011</year><pub-dates/></dates></record></Cite></EndNote> (Wood & McDowell, 2011).

It will also be important to use doctors to pass the message to women. The doctors should use their appointment time with women patients to give the messages to them. When these appointments are used, many women will be able to go for diagnoses and will talk to other fellow women about the importance of having heart checkups to avoid the disease.

Using seminars will be another way to communicate to women about the heart diseases. These seminars should be free, and government subsidized making sure that every woman who attends the seminar will get a free diagnosis. Talking about heart diseases during the seminars will ensure that every woman gets the knowledge and statistics of the conditions ADDIN EN.CITE <EndNote><Cite><Author>Malissa Wood</Author><Year>2011</Year><DisplayText> (Wood & McDowell, 2011)</DisplayText><record><ref-type name="Book">6</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Malissa Wood</author></authors></contributors><titles/><title>Smart at heart : a holistic 10-step approach to preventing and healing heart disease for women</title><periodical/><dates><year>2011</year><pub-dates/></dates></record></Cite></EndNote> (Wood & McDowell, 2011).
