To differentiate between what an author says and the strategies he/she is using

In the essay “On Dumper diving” Lars Eighner talk about feeding on left overs at dump site. Eighner narrates on how he used to feed on leftovers in the pits with his late wife Lizabeth in past,. He tells his audience in the written article how one can safely feed on left over in the dumping site. Eighner identifies the left overs the consider best for consumption. He says “raw fruits with intact skins are safe to me.” At the end he explains why he feels remorsefully about those who feed from the dumpsite. Having been at the pits he is sorry for those who live on left over. Despite being important consider what Eighner says, it is also crucial that we consider the writing strategies the Eighner uses in his essay to reach out to the audience.

Eighner uses many style in his writing. Eighner uses a sympathetic tone to tell about his past experience on feeding on left overs. He states the hard conditions the dumper diver go through to the readers,. He uses many strategies in his piece of work such short paragraphs with different length. The short paragraphs with different lengths make one read without getting bored. His work is well punctuated with good grammar. The writer uses slang like “dumpster” which explains there meaning at the beginning. The word chosen are easier to understand. Furthermore, Eighner uses other source and acknowledges them in his essay. He uses other source to clearly explain to the reader his piece of writing. The strategies used by Eighner were effective.
