CIS112 – Introduction to Computing

Due: Midnight Sunday of Unit 5.

In this assignment, you will create and format a 2D line graph and a 2D pie chart using data provided.

The requirements for your assignment are:

1. Open a new Excel workbook in your OneDrive course folder.

2. Change the name of the worksheet to "Charts". 

3. Enter the following data into this worksheet: 

4. Create a 2D line graph with markers displaying the monthly sales data.

a. Edit the graph title and change it to "Sales Summary" 

b. Move the legend to the right side. 

c. Add data labels above the markers.

d. Label the vertical axis “DOLLARS”.

e. The graph should look like this: 

5. Create a 2D pie chart displaying the same monthly sales data. 

a. Edit the graph title and change it to "Sales" 

b. Move the legend to the left side. 

c. Add data labels outside the end of the data points.

Pie Chart

2D pie chart is the chart type displaying all the monthly sales from the data. The title is “Sales”. The legend is on the left. The data labels are outside of the data end points.
